My top 5
- Lakai, Fallen, Emerica, Adidas, and Vans. Lakai is very high quality, bet wears out quick. Fallen is an all around great shoe. Emerica is a lot like Etnies except personally I think they have better grip. If you want a shoe just for looks emerica or etnies aren't for you. Osiris is. Adidas is pretty good, they last for a pretty good amount of time. Van's wear out quick but look really cool and have pretty good grip. Unless you buy a bulkier version of their shoe, I wouldn't reccomend buying them as a beginner. The canvas shoes don't have any ankle support, an you'll probably end up with a snapped ankle and your board halfway up a tree in premo if your not a decent skater.

the best shoes? lol
- If I could actually find skate shoes still made in the USA I would probably have a list going on, but I've seen the quality of brands like VANS go downhill since they stopped being made in the US. Vans used to be good, but I bought a pair recently and it was nothing like the quality I remember back in the late 80's. I was extremely disappointed. They fell apart alot faster and there was something seriously wrong with the way they felt. I was even starting to get weird foot problems. This is pretty much a trend with all shoes these days though. Quality has gone seriously downhill but the price stays the same or increases. This happens when they shove their garbage in everyone's faces and act like their crap is somehow top notch. Its all a rip off. We need more made in the USA skate shoes that are on the same level of quality like Vans USED TO BE, back when they were MADE IN THE USA. Then I would have a list going on of the best skate shoes, but until then this is what I will type.

My picks
- I would say Lakai is the best but they wear in like a month or two. Go for Supra for the best board feel. My Adidas have been alive for 6 months but not as good as Lakai, and Vans would have to be in the middle. I hope this helps!
