Skateboard Deck
Habitat:
Habitat's are great, they just feel good which is what i look for pop and such aren't a factor cuz i don't see a difference between how high decks pop except when i don't pop it hard. it's not the deck's fault but the feel if it is for sure the deck's problem.
Habitat's have what i'm looking for that's the easiest way to put it.
Wheels, Trucks, Bearings, etc
Satori/Indy/Shake Junt/Shorty's
Satori Wheels:
Vegetable Oil's what they're made of. so, they're great for the environment but they're great wheels, too. they hold up but not in a weird way where they have an obscure amount of grip. they grip and slide which is weird at first but after that first day or so they're amazing.
Trucks:
I ride Indy's(Independent), the bushings they come with are nice n all but what i do is swap out the front truck's bushings with Bones Medium Bushings. i make sure it shakes enough. then i tighten that back truck till it can't go any tighter.
Front truck loose is the best way to ride for me. The best part is no one wants your board either so that's a plus. and don't worry you've still got stability from the back truck(this'll probably take time to get used to but strangely i didn't have to i don't know i love it). so when you pop an ollie or pop-shove it, kickflip, tre, etc... just make sure you're not leaning on that front truck and turning. nollie tricks are fine unless you start turning which is weird from the start.
I really like the way it feels and how they turn. so in short u turn better and it doesn't hurt your tricks it's great.
Bearings: SHAKE JUNT!!!
do i need to say any more? they're Shake Junts they're amazing i ride ABEC 7's because theyre the best. sorry to be vague but the fastest bearings out there need not be explained.
Advice
- Ride what feels best for you; it's your setup you ride it so don't let people tell you differently.
- Depending on how loose that front truck is you may have to cut the bushings(only on the front truck please.) down so the nut doesn't fall off.
- have fun that's why we skate... well, why i skate don't worry about all the petty things skateboarding throws out there, i just explained it so i could get a bit of idea why i ride this myself and after seshing one more time before i post i have no regrets. but what i can say is that i usually ride Indy's but somehow i've got Krux on and they're not bad ;they're stiffer tho
