X Games 17 - Burnquist Lands Gold He's Been Looking For
"I am really happy that I made my run and the judges felt it was first place," Burnquist said. "I am stoked about that and it feels great to be on top, obviously."
Burnquist threw down a huge switch 5 into lein rodeo to solidify his spot in first.

X Games 17 - Marisa Dal Santo Takes Gold in Women's Skateboard Street
After winning the bronze medal in last year's X Games, La Grange, Illinois native Marisa Dal Santo came into this year's competition looking to take the top spot as she did in 2009 and 2007.
That added pressure caused some nervous moments for Dal Santo, but you never would have known it as she scored an 88.00 on her third run of the finals, to capture gold in Women's Skateboard Street.
"I was actually dreading this the whole year," an exuberant Dal Santo said.

X Games 17 - Tershy Takes First Gold in Skateboard Park
The first skateboarding competition at X Games 17 was Skateboard Park, and rookie Raven Tershy took the gold!
The Santa Cruz, Calif. native took over the lead in his second-to-last run at the course with the help of an extended ollie frontside nose grind.
"I wasn't looking at the scores, I just tried to lay down my strongest run," Tershy said. "I'm stoked! I wasn't expecting this. I had no idea, but I had a great time!"
"I put together a couple of good tricks and I'm super stoked to see my friends doing well," Barros said.

X Games 17 - Canada's Ryan Decenzo Takes Gold in Game of SK8
"I just came in with not too much stress and just wanted to land tricks," the Vancouver, B.C. native said.
"I just went for the tricks that I always do. I tried to make them not easy by doing a switch trick or something spinney or flippy."
And that philosophy helped him eliminate the final competitors, Silas Baxter-Neal and Brandon Westgate, as neither could complete Decenzo's switch feeble grind.
The medal was his second of the X Games and his first gold. His first medal came in Skateboard Real Street where he finished second to Baxter-Neal.

"It's the best feeling ever and my best win ever. After getting silver for the past two years it was a buildup feeling that I wanted to get that gold," Huston said. "There's a lot of pressure and if you're nervous, it's hard. But I mostly put pressure on myself and have a goal to win."
Huston, who was the repeat silver medalist in 2009 and 2010, laid down impressive runs with technical tricks, including a kickflip backside tailslide spinout and a huge hard flip off the rooftop.
