Before you learn to nollie though, here's what I think you should know how to do:
- Ride a Skateboard - this might seem basic, but a lot of new skaters hurl themselves at tricks before they're even comfortable riding a skateboard!
- Ollie - you don't technically need to be able to ollie before you can nollie, but it will make things a lot easier if you do. A lot of these instructions will make a lot more sense if you have your ollies dialed in first. But, if you want to jump right in, that's ok!
- Rolling Ollies - again, you don't need to know how to do this, but it will help you. If you have your ollies and rolling ollies down, then you will have a much easier time learning to nollie.
- How to Fall - there's a good chance you'll pitch yourself onto your face or backside while learning this, and knowing how to do that, while getting hurt as little as possible, is a good idea!
One last thing - I suggest you read through ALL of these instructions, maybe a few times, before you head out to try it. Make sure you can picture doing the trick in your mind. That will help a lot. Then once you're ready, go nollie!
