Mini-Logo Superlight Skateboard Deck

Mini-Logo decks provide top level features at a great price, due to their lack of graphics. Mini-Logo Superlights are 10% thinner than regular Mini-Logo skate decks, but are built with a K-12 “Hella Concave” – a super deep concave that gives the board added strength. This balances out to a lighter skateboard, without sacrificing too much strength, all at a good price.

These boards are well made – built just like Powell’s Brite-Lite™ Decks. They are still made from 7 plys of American hard rock Maple, Air Lam pressed and sealed with water resistant glue, and the undersides are treated with Skate One’s special SST combo of various layers that make the boards slide further. But, the boards are 10% thinner, and the strength is made up for with an extra deep concave. A thinner board is a lighter board, and that equals more speed, more higher ollies, and more maneuverability.

With all of these advances, making the board thinner still means it’s going to be weaker. If you have a habit of busting boards, buying a Superlight would be a waste of money. But if you are looking for ways to shave some weight off, these Superlight boards are a brilliant idea. I love mine. I’ve never cared much about the graphics on the bottom of my boards – whatever’s there is just going to get ground off or covered with stickers anyway. The SST treatment is nice, and the boards do resist moisture. If you run through mud puddles all the time or skate in the rain, you’ll still mess the board up. What it all comes down to is what you are looking for. Mini-Logo boards are just as good as regular boards, and a lot better than other blank decks. Superlights are the next level up. If you’re looking to get more air or speed, try out a Superlight. If you bust it, at least you didn’t spend extra to get a deck with a pro’s name on it!
