Guide Review - Bones Street Tech Formula Wheels
Do I sound like I like these wheels? Well, I do. In fact, I love 'em. I spend the largest chunk of my skate-time skateboarding street - nothing beats pure street skateboarding.Which is why I am so happy with these Bones Street Tech Formula wheels. I've been riding ATM wheels for a while now, and I like them and all, but there is a HUGE difference between good wheels, and wheels designed for precisely what you are doing.
Bones Street Tech Formula (STF) wheels are easier to slide with. For most new skaters, power sliding is hard enough without trying to learn with hard park wheels. But then, if you have soft wheels and slide very much, you'll develop flatspots on the wheels. If you haven't managed to do this to your wheels yet, let me tell you about it. A flatspot is when you wear down a spot on your wheel - yeah, you probably figured that one out. But one flatspot effectively kills the wheel. One dead wheel means you need to get a whole new set of skateboard wheels. And so you see how much a flatspot sucks.
But with Bones Street Tech Formula (STF) skateboarding wheels, you should be fine for a long while! The only thing to be aware of is, if you skate park as well, you might want to get something a little more versatile. But if you skate street fairly exclusively, then I don't know of a better wheel to recommend than Bones Street Tech Formula skateboard wheels.
