What is the Monster Skate Contest:
The Monster Skate Contest is held throughout San Luis Obispo County in California. The contest his various county cities throughout the spring. The Monster Skate Contest has been happening every year since 2005, and is a huge event for the central California coast.
Monster Skate Contest Schedule:
- MARCH 21 at Atascadero
- APRIL 4 at San Luis Obispo
- APRIL 18 at Templeton
- MAY 2 at Paso Robles
- MAY 16 at Grover Beach
- MAY 30 at Los Osos
What to Expect for the Contest:
Each participant is judged independently at the each contest, based on technicality and consistency, after a one minuet run. There will be 3 judges at each contest.
Prizes are collected and donated by local skate shops and warehouses. There are divisions for 6 and under, 7 to 9, 10 to 13, 14 to 17, 18 and older, sponsored 15 and under and sponsored 16 and older, and a woman’s division.
