Street League 2011 - Street League Skateboarding, the premier professional street skateboarding series worldwide, has announced the 2011 League schedule with live programming on ESPN, ESPN2, and an international webcast of each stop of the tour. The nationwide tour will kick off its second season in Seattle, WA this May and end with the Championship event in Newark, NJ.
Tim Brauch Memorial Contest and Fund
Tim Brauch was a pro skater who died in 1999 at the age of 25. He skated for Sessions, and after his sudden death, Sessions created the Tim Brauch Memorial Fund, which grew to support and include the Tim Brauch Memorial Contest as well. The event is hosted in July, located on the beach, just south of the Huntington Beach Pier, in Huntington Beach, Calif. A nation-wide series of female-only action sports instructional programs committed to inspiring girls to participate in action sports and encouraging them to remain active to lead a healthy lifestyle. For this year’s program, etnies has again partnered with the Girls Riders Organization (GRO), a nonprofit group with a mission to inspire, educate and support girls in action sports, to present a tour of GGOB clinics and special events.
