Fury skateboarding trucks have been easily some of the best skateboarding trucks on the market for a long time. The new Fury Evo trucks incorporate strong Fury truck design with a higher clearance, to allow for sharper turns.

Fury Evo Truck Design

Fury Evo skateboarding trucks are built high and stable, and strong. Fury trucks are traditionally one of the strongest skateboarding trucks available, but this usually means that the trucks are also heavier. The Fury Evo trucks remove all excess weight possible, while maintaining a simple, stylistic design. The result is that Fury Evo trucks are still tough, but won't weigh you down. Here are some of the Fury Evo trucks design advantages:
  • Cushions / Bushings - Fury points out that these effect a truck's turning more than anything, and that they have the best available
  • Baseplate - all excess weight has been removed
  • Hangar - classic Fury "flying V" front design. A clean, stylish look
  • Higher - Evo trucks are built to give higher clearance, but to stay stable
  • Two Sizes for the special edition - the 750, for boards 7" to 7.5" wide, and the 775 for boards 7.5" to 8" wide
  • Four sizes for regular solid black or raw metal editions (750, 775, 800, and 850)
  • Pro Models - Fury Truck Company doesn't just sign anyone. The Fury Evo is available in designs by Tony Hawk, Tom Penny, or Arto Saari

Fury Evo Truck Style

Right now, there are five different Evo special edition truck styles to choose from. I personally tested the Tony Hawk and Tom Penny styles:
  • Tony Hawk - These trucks are solid white, with a small Fury symbol set in the front of the hangar. Tony Hawk's signature is beneath the symbol, with black jagged lightning bolts / wings coming up and around the symbol. Nice, simple, and sweet.
  • Tony Penny - Dark purple hangar with Tom's mushroom logo, Fury, and his signature above. From the sides of the mushroom are lighter purple waves wafting up. The baseplate is also light purple, to match the waves. It's a smooth look.
  • Arto Saari - Strong Blue hangar, with blue and white flags coming from the Fury logo in the center. The flags are marked with blue fir trees and the flag of Finland (blue and white). Arto Saari's signature is written below the Fury symbol. The baseplate is white. I like the look of these trucks a lot.
  • Patriot Evo - No pro signature, but a cool design with red hangar, blue baseplate and stars and flag around the Fury logo in the center of the hangar.
  • Rasta Evo - Again, no pro signature, but another national theme. A yellow hangar and green baseplate, with stars and flags.

Fury Evo Truck Testing

Unfortunately, I can't complain about these Fury Evo skateboard trucks. At all. They tested out great, with no problems. I personally usually aim for lower trucks, but these Fury Evos are set at a good height. And they are in fact, pretty stable. And tough. You can wear them down with grinds, just like any truck, but they seem to wear down in a good way. That's important. No truck will not wear down from grinding - I mean, that's why it's called "grinding", but having trucks that wear down well is important.

If you are looking for a higher truck for riding, for greater clearance or to be able to cut deeper turns, then I would certainly recommend trying out a pair of Fury Evo skateboarding trucks.
