Guide Review - NSS Thrilla Skateboarding Shoes
NSS Thrilla Comfort - These skate shoes are comfortable. However, there is absolutely no arch support, and the insole is pretty stiff. The soft upper and overall lightweight design does keep them from dragging you down, and the thickness of the sole gives a reasonable amount of board feel.
NSS Thrills Skateability - This is what it really comes down to - how well do these NSS Thrilla skate shoes ride? Well, I found the sole to be as grippy as most other skate shoes, and they didn't wear down any faster than, say, Etnies soles. The soft upper is stitched down and survived skateboarding with only marks and scuffs. But, the side panels should wear through with aggressive technical skating. This is a problem every skate shoe faces, since you are basically rubbing the side of the shoe on a piece of sand paper. If you are a very aggressive technical skater, you might want something with a little extra tech to protect your shoes from ollies and kickflips.
NSS Thrilla Style - Personally, I really liked the look of these shoes. They are simple, calm and stylish. I think longboarders, casual skateboarders, and skaters who want one pair of shoes that they can wear all the time would all be happy with these NSS Thrilla skateboarding shoes.
In all, I would suggest the NSS Thrilla skate shoes to most skaters. The lower price helps a lot with making that suggestion - NSS shoes run cheaper than most other brands, and while you might not get as many bells and whistles, they should skate just fine.
