Patrick Kerr Skateboarding Scholarship
The Patrick Kerr Skateboarding Scholarship is the first of its kind in the United States. Skateboarders who plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college can apply and get up to $5,000 toward school!

The Patrick Kerr Skateboarding Scholarship Foundation says, "As mothers of skateboarders, we respect the talent, intelligence, energy, creativity, passion, dedication and drive that we see in these young people. Our mission is to help skateboarders pursue their dreams and attain their career goals by providing college scholarships."

Patrick Kerr

Patrick Kerr was a 15 year old skater who was extremely active in helping to raise funds for non-profit skateboarding organizations and raising support for public skateparks. Patrick Kerr was also an honor student, so this first skateboarding scholarship in the United States has been named in his honor.

Applying for the Scholarship

The winner of the Patrick Kerr Skateboarding Scholarship will receive $5,000 toward the undergraduate 2 or 4 year school of their choice, and three more applicants will receive $1000 each. Each applicant must be a high school senior with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The application requires a short essay on, "How has skateboarding been a positive influence in your life?"

The Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship is a great opportunity for all high school students planning to go to college - a $5000 or even $1000 scholarship is a great help! The application procedure is fairly easy, so there's no excuse for not trying for it. Visit the Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship site for all the details.
