Maryhill Festival of SpeedThe IGSA (International Gravity Sports Association) World Cup Series features the annual Maryhill Festival of SPEED from September 2nd to 6th, 2009. The festival is held in Goldendale, Washington on the famous Maryhill Loops Road, next to Hood River. This contest features a $7000 prize purse, and is free for spectators!

ASR SeptemberASR is the Action Sports Retailer's convention - skate and surf companies and businesses gather from all over to show off the latest and greatest skate gear, and to make new deals with skate shops. ASR September will run from the 10th to 12th, 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center in California. There are often skateboarding demos and shows, as well.

The Free Flow tour is an amateur skateboarding and BMX competition that tours around the United States, with stops all over the country. The competitions are open to any amateur skater or rider aged 18 or under, and it only costs $10 to enter! If you lose, you still get a prize bag and there's a party, but if you win, you can get into the Free Flow Tour finals, and then win a Wild Card spot in the finals of the Dew Action Sports Tour, skateboarding or riding against the pros!!

ASA EntertainmentAn interactive action sports circuit that will visit high schools across the country to inform students about the dangers of smoking. The Xbox 360 Get Up Tour is a 10-city trek, first stopping in Boston, Mass and continuing each weekday with a new event through November 20. Skateboarding pros (but I don't know who) will be performing on a mobile half pipe during on-campus assemblies, And Xbox 360s will be set up with Tony Hawk RIDE that students will be able to play. Dew Tour LogoThe Toyota Challenge will be held from September
17th to the 20th, 2009 at Salt Lake City in the EnergySolutions Arena. This is stop number four out of five for the entire Dew Tour.
The Dew Tour has been running strong now, and has quickly become one of the biggest and best action sports events on the planet. With 5 stops all across the United States, the Dew Tour should hopefully hit a town somewhere near you, if you live in the States. The competitions feature vert and street skateboarding, BMX and Moto X, concerts, and a festival village. It's a good time.

Tim Brauch Memorialheld
September 27th, 2009, this contest started as a memorial for Tim Brauch, who died of a sudden heart attack in 1999 at the age of 25 (read more about him on the Tim Brauch Memorial Fund Website). The money raised from this competition was for a Tim Brauch Memorial Skatepark, which was finally completed 2 years ago. The Tim Brauch Memorial Contest is now an established skate competition, with the bowl contest being part of
World Cup Skateboarding's "Concrete Bowl Series".

Vans Downtown ShowdownHeld on September 26th, 2009, the Vans Downtown Showdown will feature top Pro and Am teams on team designed obstacles, held at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, California.
