a music festival with 100 bands on 7 stages. This year, we are co-sponsoring the event, and skateboarding will be free at The Skate Shed with the purchase of your ticket to Side Show. The event is on Saturday, June 5th from 11am - 10pm. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Go Skateboarding Day

June 21st is international Go Skateboarding Day. There aren't any rules to this at all, just make sure to get out and skate! Began in 2004 by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC), Go Skateboarding Day is a day for anyone and everyone to take a break from everything, get together with family and friends and go skateboarding. Go Skateboarding Day is set for June 21st because it happens to be the first day of summer.

Central Valley AM JAM

The Central Valley AM JAM is a series of four contests beginning with a kick off party and comp in Atwater March 13, 2010. Then the series starts in Riverbank, Ca on April 17th, 2010, then continuing onto Tracy, Ca on May 15th 2010. The next stop is Ripon, Ca on June 19, 2010 and then last but not least Ceres, Ca. on July 17, 2010.

At each stop the 5 five age groups 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-17, and 18+.  Each contest runs from 10 AM to 4 PM, costs $15 to enter, and helmets are required.  Each first place skater in each division will qualify for a chance to skate in the Maloof Money Cup amature street competition.

The Warped Tour is an action sports display combined with concerts, held all over the US. You can check out the bands to play at the tour, and The tour starts in June:

Volume 2010 Summer Skate Series

This series, sponsored by 3rd Lair, is a collection of 16 skateboard competitions held all over Minnesota. The contests start June 12th and run through August 8th. There's beginner, intermediate and advanced level contests, and the winner gets a golden ticket to the 2010 Midwest Melee August 20th to the 22nd.

Held from June 16th to 20th, 2010. The contest will be at Prado Skate Park in Marseille, France and will feature a Men's and Master's Pro Bowl competition.

Dew Tour Skate Open / Skateboarding World Championships

The Dew Tour is a five-event series, with four of the five events featuring skateboarding competitions. The first stop of the Dew Tour is at Boston's TD Garden June 25th to 27th, 2010.

 

With 5 stops all across the United States, the Dew Tour should hopefully hit a town somewhere near you. The competitions feature vert and street skateboarding, BMX and Moto X, concerts, and a festival village. It's a good time.

Tickets to see White, Sheckler, Rodriguez and more than 150 of the world's best skate park and vert athletes are now on sale at Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster.com and select Ticketmaster retail outlets or by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Summer Skate Camp

A weeklong skate camp from 8am-6pm starting Monday, June 21st to Saturday, June 26th where skaters can receive professional instruction from beginner level, to advanced skaters. Lunch and an afternoon snack every day is included in the price of admission. Instruction is from 8am till Noon. After lunch, skaters will be able to apply what they have learned and skate freely till 6pm. On Saturday, skaters will be divided into experience level and compete for prizes and bragging rights. The cost is only $250 for the whole week, but if registration is paid in full during the month of May, skaters will receive $100 OFF!
