The Free Flow tour is an amateur skateboarding and BMX competition that tours around the United States, with stops all over the country. The competitions are open to any amateur skater or rider aged 18 or under, and it only costs $10 to enter! If you lose, you still get a prize bag and there's a party, but if you win, you can get into the Free Flow Tour finals, and then win a Wild Card spot in the finals of the Dew Action Sports Tour, skateboarding or riding against the pros!!

Held in Costa Mesa, California from July 10th to 12th, 2009 at the OC Fair and Event Center. The Maloof Money Cup had the largest prize purse in the history of pro skateboarding in 2008 with over $450,000 given out in three disciplines - Pro Street, Men's Pro Vert, and Amateur.

This year they're also doing a model search ... a little different from the usual skateboarding contest, but OK...

The Search for Ams contest will award two winners from the Street category and two winners from the Vert category with a spot in the World Industries Amateur Contest at the Maloof Money Cup. This will be a series of four contests beginning in Riverbank, Ca on April 18th, 2009, then continuing onto Tracy, Ca May 16th. The next stop is Ceres, Ca on June 21, 2009 "Go Skateboarding Day" and then last but not least Ripon, Ca. on July 11, 2009. This will also be the final stop and the top 3 overall points winners of each age group will be awarded Grand Prizes.

At each stop the 5 five age groups 9 and under, 10 - 12, 13 - 15, 16-17, and 18+, will compete in a four person 5 minute jam. With the top five highest scored skaters in each age group, going on to the finals and completing a 7 minute jam to showcase their talents. Top 5 will also qualify for California State Games in San Diego, Ca July 16 - 19, 2009.

The California State Games are like a miniature version of the Olympics. However, unlike the Olympics, they do feature skateboarding! Skateboarding begins on July 18th 2009 at 8 am, with the mini ramp events, and then at 1pm starts the pool riding event, and vert ramp. On Sunday they have the freestyle beginning at 9am. All of these events are at the Len Moore Chula Vista Skate Park off of Oleander Street in Chula Vista. Anybody can sign up and registration is online at the Cal State Games website, with prices there as well.

The second stop of the Dew Tour will be combined with the International Skateboarding Federation World Championship of Skateboarding contest. This event is set for Boston, Mass from July 23rd to 25th, 2009 at TD Banknorth Garden. This is the second stop of the 2009 Dew Tour.

The US Open Soul Bowl will be held at Huntington Beach, California from July 23rd to 26th, 2009. This contest will feature Mens, Masters and Ladies bowl divisions. This is a World Cup Skateboarding pointed event.

AmsterDamn Am is presented by Volcom and held in Amsterdam, Holland from July 24th to 26th, 2009. This is a top Am Contest at Skatepark Amsterdam, with a prize purse of 15,000 Euros. It is the second stop of four Damn Ams that lead the way to Tampa Am and ultimately SPoTlight’s Am Awards in January.

1st and 2nd place win plane tickets to Tampa Am in Tampa, Florida, USA, and are seeded directly into the Semi-Finals. All top 12 finalists will be qualified for Tampa Am.

X Games 15 runs from July 30th to August 2nd 2009 in Los Angeles, California.

The X Games are the biggest collection of action sports competitions on Earth. The best skaters, bikers (both BMX and Moto X), surfers and rally car racers will compete for gold medals and huge piles of cash. The X Games set the standard for huge action sports competition. The 2009 Concrete Rodeo Tour ("CRT") is North Americas premier 'LOCAL' skateboard only series. The CRT is in its 7th year. The CRT is an open series of events with 8 age groups per sex; designed to reward the best riders of the day regardless of their industry categorization, age and sex. The CRT brings a professionally managed event directly to your local skatepark.
