Held in Australia for the last few years, the Bowl-A-Rama hosts thousands of fans at Bondi Beach, which is one of the most famous and best skateparks in Australia. The Bowl-A-Rama Bondi Bowl is a World Cup Skateboarding Pro Bowl Pointed event - in 2009, held February 21st to 22nd.

A four-contest series held in the UK, the first contest of the Independent Vert Series is the Trawlers Jam held at Mt Hawke, in Cornwall on the 28th of February, 2009. This event is sponsored by the United Kingdom Skateboarding Association.

Grind For Life is an organization that helps people with cancer, especially those who travel long distances to treatments. Grind For Life holds a series of 3 contests - the first one is held in February. In 2009, held on February 28th at the Jupiter Skatepark in Jupiter, Florida. Call (561) 630-5684 for info.
Grind For Life was founded in 2003 by life-long skateboarder Mike Rogers, after his second battle with sarcoma cancer. The mission of the Grind For Life organization is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals. In addition, we educate and inspire these patients and families concerning cancer survival and recovery.
