Phoenix Am ContestHeld April 3rd, 4th and 5th 2009 at the Rio Vista Skateboard Park in Peoria AZ. Entrance fee is $125 per rider, with the 1st place getting $3000, 2nd - $2000, 3rd - $1000. Only 100 spots are available, and anyone can enter but they must have a nationally recognized industry sponsor to enter.

REM Skatepark Fundraising EventHeld in York, near Phillidelphia, Lancaster and Maryland on April 11, 2009. This contest is to raise money, costs $5 to enter and is open to anyone. There will be a street, bowl and best trick aspect. There are beginner, intermediate and expert divisions, with a 30 year and older division for the bowl jam. There will also be a Best Tech Trick on the Manual Pad--best manual, best grind combination, etc... Music, cash prizes, and more!
Battle of the Summit

Jamie O'ClockAn amateur skateboarding competition held in Dunedin Florida at Stirling Skate Park on
April 18th, 2009. There will be a 13 & under division, 14-16, 17-35, and Old School Jam, Best Trick and Highest Ollie, plus a pro demo. It costs $1 per person to watch, and is free for people under 6 years old. $25 to enter the contest. You get a T-shirt and 1 raffle ticket, plus this money goes to support the Ian Tilmann Foundation, and the Helmet for a Promise program.
The top 2 skaters at this event get Swag Dread or Dead Sponsor Contracts!
Waivers and Helmets required to skate. Bring your friends and family. Bring a skater willing to make the Promise for a Helmet! See you there!

Grind for LifeGrind For Life is an organization that helps people with cancer, especially those who travel long distances to treatments. Grind For Life holds a series of 3 contests. The competitions start in February, and continue in April. The 2009 contest for April is a bowl competition at the Ghetto Skate Facility in Zephyrills, Florida.

Central Valley AM JAMThis will be a series of four contests beginning
in Riverbank, Ca on
April 18th, 2009, then continuing onto Tracy, Ca May
16th. The next stop is Ceres, Ca on June 21, 2009 "Go Skateboarding Day"
and then last but not least Ripon, Ca. on July 11, 2009. This will also be
the final stop and the top 3 overall points winners of each age group will be
awarded Grand Prizes.
At each stop the 5 five age groups 9 and under, 10 - 12,
13 - 15, 16-17, and 18+, will compete in a four person 5 minute jam.
With the top five highest scored skaters in each age group, going on
to the finals and completing a 7 minute jam to showcase their
talents. Top 5 will also qualify for California State Games in San
Diego, Ca July 16 - 19, 2009.

Monster Skate SeriesThe Central Coast Moster Skatepark Series has its second and third stops in April. April 4th in San Luis Obispo, and April 18th at Templeton.

ASA Action Sports World TourASA Action Sports World Tour, one of the industry’s oldest and most elite action sports circuits, will make its first ever stop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On April 25th 2009 the ASA World Tour will debut at Target Center with a one-day competition featuring the world’s top skateboard, BMX and Freestyle Motocross (FMX) pros. As the second stop on the 2009 Tour, the event offers a chance for the competing athletes to gain the valuable ranking points necessary for qualification into the season-ending Action Sports World Championships and for fans in the Twin Cities to see these amazing aerial artists live for the first time.
