X Games 11 Photo Gallery - Highlights

The X-Fest are was packed with booths, things to win, games to play, and free swag to loot. The X Fest area also had a skate park, where people (mostly kids) could sign up and get skateboarding lessons from some of the pros. In this picture, a girl gets a skateboarding lesson from pro skater Mandy Esch! I watched as Mandy taught this girl, who had never skateboarded before - it was cool. Mandy was very patient and friendly - I'm sure this girl will go home and in no time become a little ripper. The skateboarding sessions traded off from boys to girls, and you could borrow all the skateboarding gear you needed (board, helmet, pads...).
