This is Tony Hawk debuting his newest game, Project 8. There wasn't a playable demo of the game, but they were showing a video of it. It looks incredible. The clips reminded me a lot of the intro sequence in the Yeah Right skateboarding video. Smooth, flawless, with beautiful graphics and a powerful feel - if these clips are anything like what the game has in store, we're all going to be blown away.

A few things to notice from this demo video and these photos - they showed three pro skaters (Rodney Mullen, Stevie Williams and Paul Rodriguez). And they were skateboarding realistically. This means to me that maybe Tony Hawk's Project 8 will be a more serious skateboarding game. The last several skate games that Activision and Neversoft have cranked out have been goofy, and have featured fewer and fewer pros. I'm excited about this - and hopeful that Tony Hawk's Project 8 will blow all the previous Tony Hawk games out of the water. Project 8 is definitely a next gen game, and will be featured on the X Box 360 and the Playstation 3.
