DEW ACTION SPORTS TOUR CROWNS FIRST-EVER WINNERS AT INAUGURAL PANASONIC OPEN
The Dew Action Sports Tour kicked off at the Panasonic Open at the Kentucky Expo Center, June 9-12 2005. Motocross rider Travis Pastrana and vert skateboarder Shaun White, appreciative crowds, and a lively Festival Village created an electric atmosphere at the Panasonic Open of the Dew Action Sports pro tour. ESPN X Games 11 Kickoff Release 6-15-05
ESPN X Games 11 ticket sales kicked off today with a Moto X Freestyle demonstration and mini-race. The cheering section was comprised of celebrities, professional athletes, local figures and approximately 90 students from Los Angeles’ 10th Street Elementary School. DEW ACTION SPORTS TOUR ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE OF 2005 FREE FLOW TOUR
The Dew Action Sports Tour today announced the kickoff of the Free Flow Tour, the official amateur series of the Dew Action Sports Tour. The freeflow tour is a grassroots amateur skateboard and BMX park contest series, the Free Flow Tour will bring jam-style contests to 15 communities across the country. ESPN Teams Up With the World’s Best Action Sports Athletes from the X Games to Support Tsunami Relief Efforts. Eric Koston's éS Game of SKATE Series Goes World Wide
During the months of June, July and August 2005, éS will host 12 Game of SKATE tournaments in 12 U.S. cities, where skaters will compete to win a trip to San Diego in September. There, these finalists will skate against four global champions from Europe, Japan, Australia / New Zealand and Canada, with the winner automatically seeded into Eric Koston's éS Game of SKATE, where he'll go head-to-head with today's top pros.

900 STILL HOLY GRAIL AT SKATEBOARD VERT BEST TRICK
Tony Hawk set the bar in 1999. And, five years later, his peers are still trying to catch up. Sandro Dias – only the third person in history to land the trick – did so again on Saturday night to grab gold (his first at an X Games) in Skateboard Vert Best Trick. Dias hit the trick halfway through the 30-minute jam session and ignited the crowd at STAPLES Center. “I’m stoked to have landed the 900 here at X Games X,” said Dias. Read more.

CROWD OF 16,766 WITNESS WORLD RECORD DEBUT OF SKATEBOARD BIG AIR AT X GAMES X
Prior to the debut of the Skateboard Big Air competition at X Games X, its pioneer Danny Way broke the Guinness World Record of 75’ (from takeoff to landing) by four feet, nailing a 79’ practice run. “I didn’t plan on breaking any records.” said Way, whose last X Games gold-medal victory was in 1995 in Skateboard High Air. “As the person who created the ramp I was already under a lot of pressure just to win it.” Read More.

WOMEN’S SKATEBOARD VERT TAKES OFF AT X GAMES X
Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins knows the names of the skateboarders who have won gold on the very ramp that she was skating Saturday afternoon. And knowing that, Hawkins went out and put her name right along with some of those legends with an outstanding performance at Skateboard Women’s Vert. Hawkins’ Kickflip Indy Grab – never before done by a woman – helped seal a gold-medal run that also included a Rocket to Fakie 360 and a Backside Nollie. Read More.

Women Take It to the Streets
The women’s skateboard movement may have gotten its biggest push to date on Friday afternoon at X Games X. For the first time in X Games history the women skated the same exact street course as the men – and some left an impression on those who were on hand to witness a memorable contest. Elissa Steamer put forth the most technical run out of the eight-woman field and earned gold.

Bucky Goes Back to Basics
Bucky Lasek takes his fourth gold with a heel flip front-side gay twist. The trick pushed him over the top at last year’s X Games Skateboard Men’s Vert competition – and it cinched the deal, once again, at X Games X on Thursday evening.
