David Gravette, the skater who took second in the Freeflow Skateboarding Finals, looked like he'd been through a war. David got these harsh wounds and his black eye while competing in the Oregon Trifecta right before coming to the Vans Invitational. "It was terrible, not fun at all!" David said. Apparently he got the black eyer from a collision with another rider at the Trifecta.

The road to being Pro is full or blood, sweat and broken bones. I was impressed with David's toughness, to come right out of that to compete at the Vans Invitational, and take second! Keep an eye out for this guy - you'll see his name on your shoes in no time.
