The Dew Action Sports Tour kicked off last year, and was a raging success. With over 230,000 people in attendance, a $3.5 million dollar prize purse, and more than 41 million unduplicated television viewers, the 2005 Dew Action Sports tour was something not to be missed. Dew Action Sports Tour Finals skateboard park results Playstation Pro - Ryan Sheckler, 15, of San Clemente, Calif. entered today’s Skateboard Park competition having already clinched the Dew Cup. He secured the overall points lead last month at the Toyota Challenge in San Jose, Calif., earning him a $75,000 year-end bonus and a 2006 Toyota Tacoma as well. Skateboard icon Bucky Lasek tonight secured top honors in the PlayStation® Pro's skateboard vert competition at Orlando's TD Waterhouse Centre. Lasek finished the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour season as the first recipient of the Dew Cup in Skateboard Vert and earned a $75,000 year-end bonus and a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. The Dew Action Sports Tour today announced the kickoff of the Free Flow Tour, the official amateur series of the Dew Action Sports Tour. The freeflow tour is a grassroots amateur skateboard and BMX park contest series, the Free Flow Tour will bring jam-style contests to 15 communities across the country. Dew Action Sports Tour Kicks Off This Summer
The Dew Action Sports Tour will feature the top professional action sports athletes competing in skateboarding (vert and park), BMX (vert, park, dirt), and freestyle motocross. In addition to these three primary sports, each tour stop will feature a unique “specialty comp.” At season’s end, based on a cumulative points system, the Tour will award the Dew Cup to champions in the six combined disciplines of skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross.
