First, you want to remove your skateboard's wheels. The easiest way to do this is with a skate tool, or a 1/2" socket wrench. If your skateboard had some kind of special bearing shields, you will need to remove these too. If your wheels use spacers, make sure to keep them for when you put wheels back onto your skateboard.
