Bustin Boards are custom designed longboards, perfect for anyone who enjoys the pure feel of carving, or who wants to cruise around in style. When I say custom designed, I mean that you, the buyer, get to set up your own longboard, from trucks and wheels and deck shape, to the actual combination of graphic and colors on the deck itself. Bustin Boards are a great, unique, new idea - and they ride well, too!
Bustin Boards - Build your Own Board
Bustin Boards was started by a group of friends who loved to bomb hills, and eventually started making their own boards. Their idea was to create boards that were both quality, and artful. Years later, the result is what Bustin Boards is today - high grade carvers with nice response, blasted with beautiful and yet simple graphics in any color you might want.
Buying a Bustin Board is like shopping for a Dell computer. First, you pick out the shape you like, between Complex (larger with a strong tail) and Cigar (smaller, more maneuverable). I tried out a Complex deck, and I'm very happy I did! You can also pick your trucks (Gullwing Mission or Seismic 45s) and wheels (Kryptonic Classics or 3DM Avalons).
Bustin Boards - Sweet Artwork

Bustin Boards Graphics and Artwork

piles of styles to chose from. They all have a simple, classic, graffiti feel that I personally love. Take a look at the photos and see for yourself. It's strange - board artwork is honestly not really that important, right? I mean, it doesn't actually effect your ride ... but yet somehow it does. If you like the look of your board, you ride it more. You want other people to see it. You feel cooler. It's strange, but it's true.
Bustin Boards artwork should be perfect for just about anyone. The style is subtle, sort of iconic with solid shapes and colors. And with the way you can personalize your colors, the graphics can be as loud or as calm as you want! There are over 30 different colors you can pick for each area of the board (usually four different areas). It's ridiculous. It's awesome.
Bustin Boards - My Experience
I tried out a Complex Bustin Board, with Gullwing Mission 1 Trucks and 70 mm clear white Kryptonics Classics wheels. My graphic was Stoked, with orange, green and clear. It's beautiful, and more importantly, it's perfect for carving, which is something I flat out love to do. The Cigar board might be smaller and more maneuverable, but I love having a nice strong tail to use. Plus, I'm big, so I like bigger boards!
The weird thing about the Complex deck is the stability. I would expect stability like this out of a larger board. The shape and bend of the deck, and these sweet Gullwing trucks combine to make a board that I felt extremely comfortable on. Plus, the board had the right amount of flex and response to turns.

Bustin Boards Complex Deck Longboard Review
Photo Credit - Bustin BoardsThe deck has the perfect amount of give to support quick carving and cruising, which is what I like. The Complex deck has a raised tail, and the front trucks come right to the nose (and the nose is turned up slightly). Seriously, the whole design is fairly flawless. The only complaints would be that it isn't also somehow perfect for other kinds of riding. But that's not the point - Bustin Boards are for cruising. IF you want a huge long board, for bombing massive hills, then get something a little bigger. Though, if you are confident, this Complex deck could take quite a bit. If you want a trick deck, then get a regular skateboard. But if you love cruising around, getting into it, and you want something fresh and hot that's also well built and designed by you (you KNOW no one else around will have the same board as you!), then check out Bustin Boards!!
