Snow Pack cold therapy

The Bottom Line

When you live an active life, you're going to stress or hurt your joints, and doctors agree that icing a joint is critical to reducing swelling and pain, and helping the healing process along. Snow Packs are the best icing system available - longer lasting, more flexible, cleaner, and in many other ways just plain better.

  • Very flexible, and the Sport Cover even adds to the versatility by having a thin and thick side
  • Affordable - the pack isn't cheap, but for the quality you get, it's an exceptionally good deal

Cons

  • The Sport Cover works perfect for joints, but isn't ideal for shoulders.

Description

  • Long Life - can be used for 100 or more hours (about a year of regular use) before wearing out.
  • Flexible
  • Easy to use
  • Lasts 2 or more hours per use
  • Provides universal treatment
  • Maintains even temperatures
  • Non-toxic, and environmentaly friendly

Guide Review - Accessories - Snow Pack & Sports Cover

I've had jacked up knees for most of my life, from skiing, skateboarding and snowboarding. I've had one major knee surgery for my ACL, and torn cartilage. So, I've used ice packs a lot, and let me tell you, the Snow Pack is by far the best thing for icing that I've ever seen.

Developed by Michael Roach, CEO of CleanAIR systems Inc, Snow Packs were originally designed to give the benefits of using traditional icing methods, such as a bag of frozen peas, but better. Snow Packs improve on the design of cold gel packs by being more flexible, longer lasting, and environment friendly.

The Sport Cover, also available with Snow Packs, add to the value of the packs. The Sport Cover straps comfortably on to legs, knees, ankles, arms, and elbows, holding the Snow Pack in place. The Sport Cover keeps the sin dry, and it's even reversible, with one side thinner than the other, so you can decide how much cold you want next to your skin.

Stress, strain and injury are a fact of sports, and not icing can cost you more than you realize. Don't buy a cheap gel pack that won't stay cold long enough, be inflexible, and wear out. And, don't waste your money on one-shot chemical packs - they may be easy to use, but you have to throw them away when you're done. Try Snow Packs, and the Sport Cover. You'll be impressed, and glad you bought quality.
