Vans TNT - Tony Trujillo signature model
These skate shoes re-invent a classic Vans look with new materials and style. Vans TNTs are light, comfortable, and skateable. They aren't the most high tech skate shoes on the market, but that's not their purpose - they provide small advances to an already established, proven skateboarding shoe. If you like the look and feel of Vans, you're going to love the new TNTs. Furthermore, with Tony Trujillo's style suggestions, you're guaranteed to find something that will fit your unique tastes.
Vans Dr. T review - Tony Trujillo signature skate shoes
Tony Trujillo has a loud, strong, fast skating style, as can be seen in the style of his signature shoes. Like the Vans TNTs, Dr. Ts have a rock star attitude, but they go even further in their style and features. Dr. Ts come in loud two tone styles, and are available in low and high top. Check out the review for more detailed info.
Fallen T-Shirts
Fallen's T-shirts have a strong, bold black & white style. Fallen has a reputation for excellent high quality skate shoes, and their shirts match the shoes in style. Read the review for more.
Globe Trans Element Flare skate shoe
Globe's Trans Element Flare skate shoes are a strange mix between a skate shoe and a running shoe. They have a unique style, with a long narrow sole that works well for running, tough lace loops that protect the laces, and earthy color schemes. However, skating will burn these shoes up quickly. Not just heavy skating, but even light skating - ollies will shred the soft suede, and the grip on the sole doesn't hold grip tape well. These shoes are nice, but only for a specific type of skater.
Globe Mullen skate shoes
Globe Mullens are the Rodeny Mullen pro model from Globe Shoes. Rodeny Mullen is well known as one of, if not THE best skater alive. He's also extremely clever and technically minded - and the Globe Mullen skate shoes are packed with features. The sole is made with varying densities of rubber, the heel airbag is high tech, the upper is made of layered leathers, and the tongue is one of the most thickly padded out there. This is a great, heavy duty skateboarding shoe.
Globe Aspect Sandals
Globe Aspects are cool, comfortable sandals. Globe shoes makes skateshoes, thier Trans Element line, and also sandals for the summer. The Aspects have a nice soft contoured sole with a breathable synthetic and textile upper - these sandals look good and feel good. The tread is of mixed rubbers, which gives it greater grip and the pattern is cut to provide stability on flat surfaces and uneven surfaces as well. These sandals are good for street, river, and even light skating.
Globe CT-IVs
Globe makes some of the best skate shoes on the market -- the Chet Thomas IVs. You may pay more for these shoes, but try them out, and you want want anything else. Globe CT 4s are packed with features, one of the coolest of which is the memory foam inside the shoe that molds to the shape of the wearer's foot - you'll never have to tie these shoes, and they'll be the most comfortable you've ever worn.
Fallen Scout - Jamie Thomas signature model
The Fallen Scout is a reinvention of a classic mid-top skate shoe. Featuring synthetic suede, nubuck or leather, the Scout is comfortable and strong. It's also very skatable, with reinforced ollie areas and sticky gum sole for grip. Not the most advanced of the Fallen Jamie Thomas Signature Model series, the Scout is a shoe that you're either going to love for it's uniqueness, or pass up in favor of the Heritage or the Rival. Check out the review for more details.
Shoe Review - Fallen Heritage
The Fallen Heritage is a slick, stylish skateboarding shoe from the Jamie Thomas signature series. Read the review for more!
Travel Bag - DC Shuttle
The DC Shuttle is a travel bag / small suitcase that's perfect for any trip. It's sturdy, full of pockets, large enough to fit whatever you need, but small enough to use as a carry on. It features wheels and a telescoping handle, a removable laptop pouch, compartments separated by mesh for easier packing - the only weird thing about it is that there's no place to store your skateboard!
Pants / Jeans - DC Compass
DC Compass pants are are light and tough, made from 100% cotton ripstop material, with angled pockets and a reinforced heel. The buttons are all marked with the DC logo, with snaps for the back buttons as well. The DC Compass pants are made well, but are made for sagging. If you plan to wear them regularly, they'll fit a little funny.
Shoes - Nike Zoom Air Angus
Nike Zoom Air Angus skate shoe, one of Nike's skateboarding shoe line up, has style, comfort and plenty of bells and whistles. When Nike first entered the skate shoe market, their shoes were well known as being just plain weird. The Zoom Air Angus is a great leap forward on the cool-meter, but also a great high tech shoe with plenty of meat. In fact, some people are even calling it the new Dunk.
Shoes - Nike Zoom Air URL
Nike Zoom Air URL - one of the Nike shoes in their skateboarding footwear lineup. URLs are comfortable and durable, with a slick look. Their color scheme is a little odd, but thankfully you have several styles to chose from. Especially since once you try on a pair, you won't want to take them off - these shoes are some of the most comfortable out there. Mix that with a sticky, grippy sole and you have a great skate shoe.
Shoes - Nike Zoom Air E-Cue
The Nike Zoom Air E-Cue is one of the strangest looking skate shoes around. A spacer mesh web covers most of the top of the shoe, making teh shoe durable and breathable. It looks wierd, but works well. Combine the spacer mesh with the extremely breathable tounge and thinnest sole airbag on the planet, and this shoe should be the most cool and comfortable skateboarding shoe available.
Wheels - Powell Pro Series
Powell pro series wheels are the price point wheels for Powell Pro - meaning that they are the best quality for the cheapest price. They all come with simple pro graphics of a skull, with a dash of color. For pro wheels, they're a good deal.
Bearings - Bones Super Swiss 6
Bones Super Swiss 6 are "fundamentally different" from regular Bones Swiss bearings. Bones Swiss have been the bearings to have for a good long while, but the one thing that skaters wanted improved on them the most was more strength, and of course more speed. And so Bones made the Super Swiss Six, which has 6 larger balls instead of the regular 7. This makes the bearings stronger against impact, and it raises the bearing's top speed by lessening the amount the balls must turn per rotation.
Bearings - Bones Swiss Ceramics
Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings are simply the best skate bearings out there today. If you are looking for high performance skateboarding bearings that will be strong, fast, smooth and durable, then check out Bones Swiss Ceramics. Professional skaters use them, and there's a reason - they're simply the best skate bearings around.
