AUSTRALIAN SKATEBOARDING TITLES TO BE BIGGER THAN EVER!

The Australian Skateboarding Titles (AST
The Australian Skateboarding Titles (AST), established by Globe three years ago, is now a truly national skateboarding competition with the announcement of a round of the series in the Northern Territory.

AST now offers ALL Australian skateboarders the chance to compete at a professional level, together with the chance also to compete against the world's best, in the opening round of the World Cup Skateboarding series at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena

All events are managed by Globe and are run in conjunction with local parks, media and council representatives.

    A.C.T. Tuggeranong, Sk8 Park, 20-Dec-03

    Northern Territory, Darwin Sk8 Park, 3-Jan-04

    South Australia, City Sk8 Park, 10-Jan-04

    Queensland, Grindhouse Sk8 Park, 17-Jan-04

    Tasmania, Hobart EC Sk8 Park, 24-Jan-04

    Victoria, Riverside Sk8 Park, 26-Jan-04

The top two skaters from each state & territory qualifier will be flown to Melbourne by Globe to compete in the AST Finals, as part of Globe World Cup Skateboarding. The top two scoring AST riders are then granted a wild card to compete in an international arena in the Globe World Cup Skateboarding qualifiers.

Globe World Cup Skateboarding to be held at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on 14 February, will feature the best skateboarders in the world, including current World Cup Champion, Ryan Sheckler competing for a total prize pool of $100,000 on a street course designed to test the best.
