Everything Fallen makes is high quality, but the Rivals in particular are excellent shoes for skateboarding. Made with plenty of features, like protected lace eyelets, Velcro strap, heel airbag + gel pad - not to mention thick padded tongue, heel collar, the works. These shoes are perfect for skating, unique, and well made. Check out the review.
01:49 PM # Skate Plaza in USA Today USA Today's April 15th issue covers Rob Dyrdek's Skate Plaza dream. From April Umminger with USA Today - "Someone had to step up for everyone and do something," Dyrdek says of his $600,000 plaza of dreams, which re-creates the best street-skating spots from around the world. Destinations duplicated in the 40,000 square-foot plaza range from a stair scheme at Philadelphia's Love Park to elements of San Francisco's Embarcadero. 01:09 AM # Ryan Sheckler Nominated for Laureus AwardFourteen year-old pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler has been nominated for "one of the world's most prestigious honors in sports, The Laureus World Sports Award," which seeks to honor "the world's very best athletes." Ryan has been nominated in the category of Alternative Sportsman of the Year. Other nominees in the category include Shaun White (snowboarding, USA) and Layne Beachley (Surfing, Australia). 01:22 PM # Fallen Scout skate shoe review - Jamie Thomas sig model The Fallen Scout is a reinvention of a classic mid-top skate shoe. Featuring synthetic suede, nubuck or leather, the Scout is comfortable and strong. It's also very skatable, with reinforced ollie areas and sticky gum sole for grip. Not the most advanced of the Fallen Jamie Thomas Signature Model series, the Scout is a shoe that you're either going to love for it's uniqueness, or pass up in favor of the Heritage or the Rival.
