Everett Washington is a wet, rainy town just North of Seattle. It's a pretty big city, but they don't have an kind of indoor skate park. This is where Jordan Sanchez and crew have come up with a brilliant idea - use the Kickstarter system to get an indoor skate park!
"For kids," Sanchez says, "I believe [skateboarding] can play a huge role in the development of a variety of positive traits. I know that skateboarding from childhood has made me a more dedicated, loyal, patient, quick thinking, understanding, and hardworking person. To be a progressive skateboarder, you have to have these attributes, anything less and you would give up on skateboarding completely."
Jordan and his wife are looking to raise $15,000 dollars to pay for the materials needed to change a garage into an indoor skatepark for this community! They've raised over $12,000 already, but only have 23 days left to go. Check out the Open the Garage Kickstarter page for more details, and to pledge and support this creative, incredible idea.

Thank GOODNESS for u n all who’ve donated! This always has been a no brainer to me as a sister and mom of skateboarders. With the city n police constantly on the case of anyone even holding a skateboard in town, it will be terrific to have a year round comfortable place for them to go and feel welcome. I wish I had money I wouldve made the hugest one ever myself! I will pray it gets up n running and stays open for many, many years to come. Thanks again!
Can bmx riders shred this park or is it strictly skate boarding??
