By , About.com Guide   December 10, 2011

Follow me on:

Bravo SportsWith Christmas right around the corner, I got to thinking about all the people rushing frantically to find the right gift, or ANY gift, for their skater kid, spouse or significant other.  I've already made some lists with skater gift ideas, and asked you to post what YOU would want, but what about what you DON'T want? Check out my list of the Top WORST Skateboarder Gifts, and see what you think!

Also, post a comment below with your own ideas of what you think people should avoid giving skaters.  If you are a skater, I'm SURE you have some ideas of what would make a lame gift!

Bad skate shoes, like Airwalk or Sketchers. My mom gave me a pair of sketchers once cuz she thought they were skater shoes, and they sucked!

That sucks to see the Tony Hawk game on the worst list. I haven’t tried it, and that is unfortunate to see it fail.

Don’t give a skater a board unless you know the deck size they prefer. Family members have given my kids skateboards that are way to small for them, it’s a waste of money, we end up donating them to local charities.

Clothes. They are never the size you wear so you have to go to the shop to change it

Skateboarding parts that dont fit a deck that they wanted u to put it on or that look terrible. No offense, parents but what would we want with something we cant or dont wanna use?

Osiris D3 Shoes! Or DC shoes that are sold in Journeys! Big bulky skate shoes are not my favorite thing in the world. I know D3’s haven’t been sold in a while, but That is the epitome of one of the worst trends in skateboarding. This being said…. I did have a pair….. ugh.
