Your "Setup" is all of the pieces and parts that go into your skateboard. It's pretty rare to find two skaters with the same setup, and hearing about what other skaters use, and why, is a great way to learn about new options, and pick fights.

It's weird what we end up feeling comfortable with. I rode an old used beat up blank deck for years! I’m pretty much starting out (still working on ollies!) despite being in my early twenties – I came to skateboarding late!
I upgraded my skateboard considerably on my last birthday with the help of my wonderful fiancee and my best male buddy, and my current set-up is:
Deck: Urban Beach – seems fairly hardwearing although it’s starting to look rather beat up now. I intend to replace this as soon as I can as it’s an 8-ply, quite heavy, and although I don’t have a lot of experience, it seems to me the ‘pop’ is limited. I’m thinking of upgrading to an Enuff deck, although my dream deck would be a P2.
Trucks: brand new Venom trucks, glossy black, and as far as I can tell they are very nice indeed. Certainly look fantastic and seem very strong. Thank you Maria!
Wheels: Also from my fiancee, these are Enuff Corelites – beautiful to look at and sweet quality. My old Urban Beach wheels died rapidly, but these are showing signs of lasting for years to come…
Bearings: I’ve got a thing for Enuff, these are Enuff Chrome bearings from my best male friend (best female one being my fiancee of course) – these are truly amazing bearings, and a fraction of the cost of Bones REDS at that! Very fast, super smooth and almost silent, they are lubricated with Militec oil and sped my skateboard up to approximately three times what it was like before (although it must be said that the previous bearings were truly awful…) I think whatever I do with my skateboarding, my bearings are always going to have to be Enuff – I think they suit me very well.
