These boards are PERFECT for a school shop or art project, for a youth group event, or just to make your own boards and save a TON of cash! At $15 a board, you would get 3 or 4 for the price of one regular pro-grade skateboard. He sells planks for longboards too. Or course, you have to do all the work of cutting the board out, smoothing it, and drilling holes for trucks. But on the other hand, this is a GREAT way to save some money, and to really be invested in your own skateboard! How about your church youth group all have a day where you cut and paint skate decks, and then donate them to needy kids? How about a science class goes through making decks as part of a project on wood, conservation, or construction? Or how about your skate club teams up with a shop teacher, and you have a day where anyone can come and make a deck - that would be fun, and maybe get more people interested. Who knows?!
I love things like this - anything that gets skaters more involved in what goes into skateboarding is good by me. If you want to read some feedback and see pictures, check out Skateboards for School Shops website. Drop a comment below if you have any other ideas for using boards like this!
