On the heels of my last blog post here, I realized that a lot of people don't know what ABEC really means. ABEC stands for Annular Bearing Engineers' Committee, and is the American method for rating the accuracy and tolerance rating of bearings. ABEC standards are set by the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA).So what does that mean? Well, bearings are used for all kinds of things, not just skateboard wheels. The higher an ABEC rating, the more accurate and precise the bearing is. Read What does ABEC mean for Skateboard Bearings? to find out more about ABEC, why it is and isn't important, and what it means for skateboarding!

Steve, where are you going? You mentioned on the heels of your last post???
Hey! I’m not going anywhere! Did I say something about leaving? Hmmm.
OH – I meant on the heels of the last post I wrote! The one about not buying junk skateboards! That’s all – I’m planning on being around forever!
My boy purchased Christine skateboard which is made by one Hong Kong based company named Aggressive Development Ltd. in last Christmas from TRU Stores.
Unfortunately this is the worst quality product we experienced, and which was cracked in 2nd day, and almost put my boy injured seriously.
I like to remind all consumers in the U.S. to buy the products which must be supplied by American Base companies. Or we will murder our kids to use the junk imported from foreign base company
