If it's too snowy to skate, try snowskatin'

Monday December 22, 2008
Premier SnowskateSnowskates are like the mutant children born of the unholy union of a skateboard and a snowboard. Wow, I make them sound so great! They should put that on the boxes!

When you can't skate though, snowskates can be a lot of fun. Right now, I'm in Portland Oregon, and there's a fine sheet of snow covering a good inch sheet of ice. And that's covering a bunch of snow. It's weird, but perfect weather for snowskating. But what kind to get? Premier still makes the best - the Premier Wood Snowskate. Burton also makes some sweet snowdecks (I still have fun with my Burton Junkyard). Fuse makes a crazy Fuze 4x4 monster, that REALLY tries to mix skateboarding and snowboarding in a new way. the Lib Tech Skate Banana has won a PILE of awards since 2007, and people love 'em! I haven't ridden one, but I've heard a lot about how much fun they are.
