King of Groms comes to Simi Valley

"Groms" are young skaters, and the King of the Groms contest has been raging now for 6 years. It's a competition for skaters 12 and under, but for this year's 7th annual King of the Groms, the contest has exploded into a national 6 event series!

Here's the schedule:

1. 3rd Lair SkatePark - Mpls., Mn. - November 21st - 23rd, 2008
2. Skatelab - Simi Valley, Ca - December 12th - 14th, 2008
3. Progressive Skatepark - January 2nd - 4th, 2009
4. Invite-only championships at 3rd Lair - February 20th - 22nd, 2009

This weekend is the second event, December 12th - 14th in Simi Valley!

Registration is still open, though it costs about $65 to enter. That's a lot, but contests like this over the winter are hard to come by. Check out the King of the Groms website for more info. You can register over the phone calling 763-79-SKATE.
