Monday November 3, 2008
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and Lynne, the About.com guide to lung cancer, got to talk to Tony Hawk about how it felt for him to grow up with his father having lung cancer.

Not a lot of people know that Tony had to deal with something so heavy as a kid. At age 17, his father was diagnosed with lung cancer. Read this interview with Tony Hawk, where Lynne talks with him about what it was like, what he learned, and the insights he gained though it all.

And, if you are a parent, you can also check out Lynne's 10 tips for helping your teenage child cope. It's good insight for helping your family survive.

If you have a cancer story, or any thoughts about all of this, please leave a comment below.
