Sticking with it - how to repair torn shoe laces
If you are like me, then you go through a lot of shoe laces in your skate shoes. It's frustrating, and even though some skate shoes have little guards to help protect your laces, there's just no good way to protect them. So, what should you do about frayed and broken shoe laces in your skate shoes? The easy solution is to replace them. That's it. But, for me, I get really irritated having to replace them so often! You can try to tie the ripped ends back together, you can double up your laces, but nothing seems to last long enough.

the bane of my existence. stupid shoelaces. i got nothing except various different ways of tying them back together. someone, fix this problem. you will be rich, oh yes,you will.
when you get new laces spread glue on them.the glue protects them but looks like crap.the other thing is to use chains or a cable.
most shoe laces are made of nylon opposed to cotton for strength. if yours are you can tie a knot on the break and light it up. it will melt the knot together and remove excess fabric.
