The History of Skateboarding - Extended! Skateboarding was first started in the 1950s, when all across California surfers got the idea of trying to surf the streets. No one really knows who made the first board -- instead, it seems that several people came up with similar ideas at the same time. Several people have claimed to have invented the skateboard first, but nothing can be proved, and skateboarding remains a strange spontaneous creation. - History of the X Games - The story of X begins in 1993 and evolves to 2003 with the start of X Games IX in L.A. This is a brief timeline on how the X Games arrived as the world’s signature action sports brand.
- History of Dogtown - read the true story of Dogtown and the zephyr team (Z-boys). Starting out as a surfing team from Dogtown in Santa Monica, the Zephyr team changed skateboarding forever.
