Magnet Powered Skateboard Trucks

Friday September 15, 2006
Magnetic Skateboard Trucks by James MorrisInventor James Morris has come up with something crazy - magnetically driven skateboard trucks that, he says, make the wheels roll about 30% farther, faster and longer with each push! He's been working on the idea for two years, and just last Saturday he came out with a prototype. Morris said, "you only need one per skateboard, though having two would give that much more of the effect." He expects these to be in stores by November 1st, for around $60 US! The drawback would be the end of riding Fakie or Switch - the magnets only go one way.
