I get a huge amount of e-mail about this. Most people are scared of falling while skateboarding - that's why so few people actually skate! I remember the first time I went to a park and tried to drop in - it was a disaster. But you still need to find a way toget past the fear. Falling is part of skateboarding…when i’m learning a new trick i know i’m gonna fall.Anyway i am from romania and i want to find a site that sends skateboards parts whit rellativly low shipping taxes!!thaks
hi steve i saw your coment on you didn’t know who started the skate board craze,Well i can!My father ED hawkins in 1954-55 started the first commerial distribution in hermosa beach.ca in a little start up areospace shop on the beach the first boards were made from old bread boards he got from a friend and put on the metal wheels first then to hard rubber. he got involved with mel fisher of the atocha fame and never saw a penny,dad was inventor and bad bussinessman this the way he told me.i remmber when first saw and used them in 1958 as he gve me one to use and keep,as with any thing i wish i could show you the orginal one but not possible now.any one who would challege me on the blog be my guest this no B.S. STRAIGHT DOPE !
