Globe World Cup Wildcards Finalised

Monday January 31, 2005
On Australia Day (January 26), the final round of the Australian Skateboarding Titles (AST) were decided, and the wildcard list for the Globe World Cup competition comming up Saturday, Febuary 12 in Melbourne, Asutralia is complete. From GWC - "Historically 18 year old George Newsholme from Hobart became the first Tasmanian to take out first place and become the Australian Champion. George was stoked to win today but doesn't rate himself for the Globe World Cup, which he will now compete at following today's win. "I don't give myself any chance in the World Cup. But I'll be there and mix it with them just to see how I go - I'm only 18 and have a few years to progress, but being realistic, I'm not expecting to do well at Rod Laver Arena." See the wildcard list for more, and check out the GWC site for details and ticket info.
