New site for skate park sought amid stir over closure. After Burlson city in Texas shut down a popular skate park in late October, skateboarders and their supporters didn't take no for an answer. About 50 people, some wearing the baggy pants and skullcaps common in skateboarding circles, crammed the City Council chamber one Thursday last month with petitions demanding that the city reopen the skate park.
